The Policy and Procedure Writer develops and maintains accurate policy and procedure documentation, ensuring compliance with FIMC standards.
What you will do:
- Policy and Procedure:
- Ensures departmental processes are updated and available for audit requests from industry auditors and state authorities.
- Partners with department SMEs to capture any new procedures, audit rush requests, and changes to existing documentation regarding the current processes or systems used, ensuring all documents are accurate up-to-date, and in compliance with industry standards.
- Creates and revises the documents which include input from the SMEs and approvers.
- Uses the FIMC Policy and Procedure Style Guide to achieve a common voice in all documents.
- Maintains the tracking of published documents to monitor expiration dates and interval due dates for pending documents.
- Ensures published documents do not expire by completing annual or 18-month reviews as outlined in the FIMC document management requirements.
- Provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the current procedures and communicates clearly and concisely.
- Reviews and researches the cause of any outstanding issues related to assigned areas and works with necessary individuals to correct these issues.
- Support:
- Monitors the team mailbox for requests, audit requests, and other information.
- Troubleshoots the system when errors are received in processing in ConvergePoint.
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years experience
- Demonstrated experience in using contemporary style guides (Chicago Manual of Style).
- Solid knowledge and understanding of regulatory rules and laws specific to the mortgage industry.
